Now, along with the scooters and skateboards, it looks like Dean Kamen's "personal mobility" fleet includes a chariot, of all things. Over the past 18 months, Kamen companies have filed trademark applications for the terms Akros, Acros, and Flywheel (the owner of which is listed as the Wile E. Coyotesque Acme Manufacturing). In each application, the goods and services to be covered by the desired trademark are described as "motorized, self-propelled, wheeled personal mobility aids, namely wheelchairs, scooters, carts, and chariots." Charlton Heston must be psyched! The URLs acquired by Kamen--most of which were registered in early-February--include:
* Flywheels.com * Flywheels.org * Mystirlingscooter.com * Stirlingscooter.com * Stirlingscooter.net * Stirlingscooter.org * and Stirlingelectric. (3 pages)
